The congress, held from 20 – 24 September 2010, served as a platform to share knowledge in order to advance the science and practice of mine surveying, mining and geotechnical engineering, geology, mineral evaluation and allied disciplines. 42 Countries are represented on the ISM. This was the first time that this congress was held in Africa. More than 400 delegates and exhibitors from 42 countries were entertained in true African style. The week ended off with an extravagant Gala Dinner.

Reutech Mining and partners 3DLaserMapping exhibited at the show.

"It was one of the busiest and most interesting events of its sort and was truly beneficial. Many of our current clients came to visit and a few new relationships were built. Looking at the interest as well as the feedback from industry, the future does indeed look bright for Reutech Mining. We would like to thank the organisers for putting together this prestigious event and allowing Reutech Mining to be a part of it", says Cala van der Westhuizen, Reutech Mining's Marketing Manager.
